New year’s resolutions are common to many people each year. People have different ideas and goals of what they want to complete or do better in the new year. Here at LHS some students had shared what their new year’s resolution was for the new year.
Whether it’s something you want to accomplish or something that you do for the benefit of yourself, when being interviewed many students had brought up that their new years resolution was to go to the gym more, or even get better grades for school. Student Devora Bowersox had stated “I want to work on going to the gym more to help me become a better version of myself.” Some students however had shared that their new year’s resolution was to get better at their sport. Whether it’s basketball, volleyball, or football. Other students had stated that their new year’s resolution was to be more involved when it comes to joining new clubs and meeting new people.
For some the meaning behind a new year’s resolution is that with a new year, comes a sense of renewal for what you want to achieve or accomplish. For others it’s a fun way to become a better version of themselves, and become the best that they can be. New year’s resolutions help activate the hope and expectations for what we inspire to achieve going forward.
